ABSTRACT

In the present digital era, technology is being extensively used as an aid to teach different skills in a language teaching course. With the sudden outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, where technology that was being used for peripheral tasks and activities in education so far, has now become pervasive in the learning spaces. Tech aids such as audio, video, internet, educational tools, etc. are the popular ones among teachers at all levels. The present study aims to explore the use of one such tool - Digital Spinning Wheel that has been used as a tool for conducting Just-a- Minute sessions in the Effective Public Speaking course being offered at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, one of the premier engineering institutes of India. The study also makes an attempt to understand students' perceptions about the appropriacy of the choice of the tool and the effectiveness of the instructional tool as used by the course instructors. For the study, a questionnaire was designed and circulated through Google Form among all the students of the course. The findings of the study suggest that the Digital Spinning Wheel makes the classroom activity interesting and dynamic and also ensures objectivity and fairness during the conduction of the evaluative component, Just-a-Minute. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

The whole planet has been put in danger by COVID 19. In every facet of life, it has wreaked disaster in its wake. There isn't a single industry that hasn't been touched. One of the most impacted areas is education. Around 1.54 billion children, including 743 million girls, have been infected by this outbreak, according to a UNESCO assessment. Because they lack the wherewithal to continue their education, the most disadvantaged members of society are the first to feel the effects of this policy. In these circumstances, the post-COVID-19 situation seems to be more difficult. There is a worldwide effort to assure the continuation of learning through online platforms, alternative modes of providing education, while also preparing for the opening of schools, colleges and universities. COVID 19's effects can only be mitigated if all parties involved, including students, instructors, school administration, and parents, work together to develop acceptable alternatives in concert with government authorities and educational resources. This paper will discuss about the global education system's potential problems and solutions in the years after COVID-19. Using online and virtual classrooms, it comments on the increasing reliance on technology in the classroom. Globally, most pupils have been adversely impacted by this pandemic, which has increased the gap in educational opportunity. © 2022 International Journal of Health Sciences.

ABSTRACT

Research has shown that up to a lot of people hospitalized with COVID-19 get an intense kidney injury. In some serious cases, Kidney failure occurs suddenly without any major symptoms that are totally unpredictable to identify in the early stage. The reason behind that we have a lack of knowledge and experience regarding this. The main purpose of our research is to develop a framework that will assist individuals with foreseeing the danger of constant renal sickness growing rate after being infected with COVID-19. Here we have utilized 773 raw data and trained them and we have also taken care of our missing data. In this paper, we have used KNN, Naïve Bayes, ANN model and Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) for making the system ready for assumption. We have carried out these calculations in the python language. The exactness that we acquire by utilizing KNN calculation is 95%, Naïve bayes is 98.30% ANN is 97.5% and Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) is 95.5% separately which is generally outstanding. By utilizing our proposed strategy, prediction of renal diseases after COVID-19 in the beginning phase will be conceivable. All the data are collected from our neighborhood medical clinic. This research has shown us the current situation in this COVID-19 pandemic with regards to Chronic Kidney Sickness which is known as renal disease. © 2021 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

Globally the impact of the second wave of coronavirus infection is rapidly seen and new cases continue to rise, with increasing spreadability and mortality rate. In India, the effect of the second wave of corona infection is more prominently seen in Maharashtra, when double mutant strain B.1.617 was detected in positively tested people, which is considered to be more infectious than the original one. This review focused on the study of various mutants of the coronavirus, and how a new variant of COVID-19 is different from the original one.
